Minor Register's
Summer Rally
in and around Milton Abbey over the weekend of 27th to 29th July.
Many LCES
members have already booked, including John Warburton, Raymond Martin,
the Bucks,
Kevin Lee,
as well as all the usual Minorists and Minoristes,
but there
is still room for more and the Section has also been invited
to enter a
team of three Light Cars in the Navigation Rally Team Challenge on Saturday.
Would anybody
like to step forward and Captain a Section team?
Full details
of the weekend, including downloadable entry forms may be found here.
The Nineteenth

weekend.
Results may
be found here.
The Eleventh
of June Details of our Autumn Tour and Driving Tests are now
available here
and the Regulations
and Entry Form may be downloaded here.
We are running
this event as a double header with Madresfield the following day,
so why not
make a great weekend of it in the beautiful North Cotswolds.
The Thirtieth
of May Don't forget our Summer Rally!
Entries close
soon, and we could do with more!
The Fourth
of April 2007 A fine weekend in Wales was had by all,
and we were
spoilt with glorious spring weather.
Here
are the results.
The Twentieth
of March 2007 The Regulations and Entry Form for the Summer Rally
may now be
downloaded here.
The Third
of March 2007 It is with tremendous sadness that we have to report
the passing of
Arthur Jeddere-Fisher.
Arthur was the leading light behind the Section and our President Emeritus.
He died on
the 22nd of February and we extend our deepest sympathies to Marcia and
the family.
There will
be a Service of Commemoration for Arthur on Monday, March 5th, at Aston
Rowant Church at 1.30 p.m.
The church
is in the centre of Aston Rowant village near M40 junction 6.
Take B4009
from junction 6 NE towards Chinnor and turn left after 1 mile sp Aston
Rowant.
Afterwards,
there will be refreshments at the Lambert Arms, which is close to junction
6.
Take the B4009
back towards the M40 to the junction with the A40 and turn right on A40
towards Oxford.
The Lambert
Arms is immediately on the left.
If you have
any questions, please contact Peter Livesey on 01494/881453 or 07779/100343.
A map may
be found here.
The Third
of March All VSCC and Light Car Section members are cordially
invited once again to the
VMR’s Summer
Rally - 27th to 29th July, based in Milton Abbas, Dorset.
The weekend
commences on Friday evening with a Summer Ball at Kingston Maurward House.
Saturday is
Navigation Rally day – a 60-mile exploration of Hardy's Wessex with suitable
class awards,
ending with
cream teas at Moreton village. In particular, the
Lewis & Nicholson Trophy will be competed for
for the third
time. This Vintage Minor/Austin Seven duel was narrowly won AGAIN
last year by the Sevens,
so it really
is revenge time for the Minors this year! Other marque teams of three
cars would also be most welcome.
Sunday includes
a dawn run to the top of Bulbarrow Hill (the sun rises at 4.47 a.m. precisely!),
a morning run to
Lulworth Cove
and the weekend culminates with a magnificent Vintage Garden Party at Milton
Abbey.
Full details
including accommodation options and downloadable entry forms may be found
here.
The Second
of January 2007 The Regulations and Entry Form for
the
Welsh may now be downloaded here.
(You may have
noticed that all the printed and virtual channels emanating from Chipping
Norton
have the Summer
Rally down as taking place in Presteigne.
We have no
idea where they got this information from - it certainly wasn't from us!
Rest assured,
it is still in Hampshire as advertised on this website and in our fine
Bulletin.)
The Tenth
of December A small but wonderful archive of photographs belonging
to our founder
Arthur Jeddere-Fisher
and taken in the early fifties has been placed in the LCES area of the
Grove Street

website. View the album here.
Captions will be added shortly.
The Fifth

be found in the Site Index below.
The First
of September The VSCC is holding a new event this November -
a Cotswold Trial on Saturday 25th November.
Unusually,
there will be a special class for LCES class cars - both light and Edwardian,
plus a class
for newcomers, so let's see if the Section can put up a good show.
Download the
Entry Form here
and get your entry in quickly!
